2023 Honda Accord: All-New Honda Accord Exclusive Review and Redesign

2023 Honda Accord will continue to serve as a reminder that the best family-friendly vehicles aren’t always bigger and bigger SUVs. Over the years, the Honda Accord has been a popular choice among midsize sedans thanks to its value, fuel economy, agile handling, and spacious cabin.

Don’t expect any of this to change anytime soon, though the 2023 Accord could be due to a round of trim updates, or minor changes to the available options pack. With strong rivals like the Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata to contend with on a daily basis, Honda is not going to back down and let its midsize sedan slack off.

It should be noted that the Accord lacks some of the options offered in the competition, such as all-wheel drive (Camry, Nissan Altima, and Subaru Legacy) and plug-in hybrid (Sonata). However, don’t be fooled into thinking that Honda didn’t notice this omission.

A complete Accord redesign is likely within the next 1-2 years, given that the 2022 model receives a mid-cycle refresh that brings with it updated styling and more standard features – and sadly, the end of the manual transmission in the lineup.

Two powerful and fuel-efficient turbocharged four-cylinder engines will be available, along with the fuel-efficient Accord Hybrid featuring a four-cylinder engine coupled to two electric motors.

2023 Honda Accord Review

In the shrinking family sedan segment, there are still a few great cars to choose from, but one of them stands out above the rest for impeccable driving dynamics, practical interior, and value: the Honda Accord 2023. We were so impressed with the Accord that it became a fixture that is almost permanent on our annual 10Best list and finds itself there again for 2023.

Buyers can choose from two turbocharged four-cylinder powertrains; some hybrid models breathe fuel. No matter what engine powers the Accord, the handling is perfectly balanced, which makes navigating the twisty roads a pleasure and long road journeys a pleasure.

The Accord offers spacious luggage that will make groceries go fast and the rear seats are spacious enough for two adults to travel long distances. The airy interior also easily accommodates lots of child seats for a growing family.

The Honda Accord and Accord Hybrid models gave a light style refresher for 2023 featuring a tweaked grille design, new optional LED headlights, new wheel designs, and a new color: Sonic Gray Pearl. The cabin offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standards, which previously had optional 8.0-inch info teasing display as standard hardware and now offers wireless connectivity in ex-L and Touring ornaments.

Honda moved the USB Accord port for easier access and also introduced Sport SE upholstery, combining now defiled EX flooring equipment with sports flooring style. Honda says it is a recalibrated gas response on all Honda Accord 2023 Model for better off-the-line performance;

The new rear seat reminder feature warns the driver to check the back seat when exiting the vehicle when one of the rear doors is opened before the journey. Unfortunately, the 2023 Accord was no longer available with a six-speed manual transmission.

2023 Honda Accord News

This is the Honda Civic Prototype 2023, and even though it’s called a prototype, it gives us a good idea (think 99%) of what the production-spec model will look like.

Honda Accord

In creating the 11th generation Civic, Honda gave the sedan a low and wide impression with a more sophisticated and upscale design than the previous model. Honda said it will review the new Civic that will launch first in America during the spring of 2023, first in the guise of the Sedan and then followed by the Civic Hatchback, Civic Si, and Civic Type R.

2023 Honda Accord Redesign

Accord 2023 Redesign The Japanese designer car started with low overall height and 10 generation model low hip point and adopted a new “slim and light” design ethos including low hood and front fender, as well as a low horizontal beltline.

There is a new upright grille on the front and different headlights. Other important design elements include sharp horizontal shoulders and a back with a wider part and new taillights. The prototype also sported a new color, called the Sun Glare Pearl.

Although Honda has not yet shown any interior drawings for the Civic Prototype in 2023, the cabin has released sketches. It reveals a more minimalist and stylish design than today’s cars and includes a 9-inch info-entertainment system, digital set of indicators, and honeycomb accents to stretch the width of the dashboard and hide air vents.

Honda Accord 2023 Redesign Looking beyond the design, Honda said the new Civic will introduce several new active and passive safety systems, such as an upgraded suite of Honda Detection safety and driver assistance technologies, including also a new airbag design. It is also equipped with a new version of Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure that improves protection against passenger and pedestrian collisions.

Honda Accord 2023 Model Interior

The interior of the Accord is surprisingly spacious, and especially rear-seat passengers will be pleased with the Accord than almost any other mid-size sedan. Honda means that most decisions about the features of the flooring structure without options are made for the driver, but almost every Accord has good interior furniture and at least some comfort.

2023 Honda Accord

Top 2023 Honda Accord Touring flooring is fully decorated, with heated and chilled leather front seats, heated rear seats, and a head-up display. However, the lower trim level has its own charm.

Among them: fabric upholstery and attractive and comfortable Honda’s interior trim. Not only accord’s 17 cubic meters of cargo space have beaten the next best car in its class, but due to accord, hybrid-electric engine components do not lose cargo space.

In our tests, we had two more carrying bags folded down the regular Accord rear seats than we would fit in the nearest competitor. Accord’s internal storage is halfway through this class, and internal storage arrangements are very useful or thoughtful, such as in this class – the Honda Civic or Hyundai Ioniq, for example. However, the Agreement should meet the basic needs of most drivers.

All models come standard with touchscreen info-entertainment and an 8.0-inch screen. Bluetooth and USB connectivity are also available on all devices, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features. We found the system fast, attractive, and easy to use; even low-tech people will find it intuitive. The Honda EX-L model offers a premium 10-speaker audio system with a 450-watt amplifier, but the lower 2023 Accord has four or eight-speaker systems.

2023 Honda Accord Engine

The lineup starts with the 192 hp 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, but our favorite is the 2.0-liter turbocharged 252 hp four-cylinder that sits at the top of the engine pyramid and is equipped with a 10-speed automatic that shifts in an almost natural smooth way. Both engines are smooth operators, but the 2.0-liter engine offers a power flow that easily turns the front tire into first gear.

Hybrids are also available and are powered by four and two-cylinder electric motors. The 2023 Accord chassis is well sorted and encourages the driver to push the car hard through the corners, where it shows a little body roll.

Steering is light, like any car in this class, but we don’t mind if it sends more feedback from the road. Still, it’s hard to complain about an accurate and predictable helmet. Accord 2023 journey is tightly controlled but never hard, which strikes a balance between a sports sedan and a practical family car.

Honda Accord 2023 MPG

Accord this latest version combined the previous generation V-6 engine and a naturally four-cylinder engine to support a pair of downsized turbo quads, and the results are generally positive. Both engines showed excellent results in real-world highway fuel economy tests.

Our highway loops beat their EPA highway degree by offering 2.0T Accord Touring 35 mpg with 10-speed automatics. Also tested with a 301 hp V-6 engine made at 29 mpg is much better than the 2018 Camry.

2023 Honda Accord Release Date

Since the six-speed manual transmission is off for 2023, we will choose the Accord with the optional ten-speed automatic as the only other option is the continuously variable automatic (CVT) transmission. That leaves us looking at the Sport model with an optional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Honda did not confirm that the 2023 Civic will be produced in North America, with the hatchback to be built at the company’s plant in Greensburg, Indiana.

2023 Honda Accord Price

The 2023 Honda Accord is expected to be the belle in terms of estimated pricing with a base price of around $26,000 for the base LX trim. Then the mid-range Accord Sport adds features like more USB ports which is always a good thing and an improved audio system.

A more powerful 252-horsepower 4-cylinder turbo can also be added, though it’s an expensive option at an additional $4,000.

The 2023 Honda Accord is basically estimated to cost around $28,000 and the upper limit goes to $38,000.
