In its fourth model year since its redesign, the 2019 Honda Civic will receive mild updates to keep things fresh, including visual adjustments, new technology, mixed features, and a new trim level.
On the outside, the 2019 Honda Civic will retain its general design, but there will be a few soft parts changes. These updates will include an updated front bumper to give it a wider look, tinted headlight treatment, shiny-black accents on the grille, new LED headlights to trim tours, a chrome strip on the rear Bumper and a trio of new colors. The latter include Platinum White pearl, molten lava pearl and tonic yellow pearl.
Inside, the updates will be just as subtle. The 2019 civic receives an updated display audio infotainment system interface, a physical volume button and buttons, an improved Bluetooth system with simpler phone pairing, redesigned steering wheel controls, larger Front cup holders, new dashboard trim options and additional sound insulation. Unlike these updates, the cabin of the 2019 Honda Civic will remain the same.
2019 Honda Civic Hatchback Touring Specs
A big change will be Honda’s elimination of the ex-T trim in favor of a new 2019 civic sport between the LX and ex models. This new trim will combine the Carryover 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with either a six-speed manual or a steplessly variable gearbox. The Civic Sport will be its standard fog lights, 18-inch wheels, black lid spoiler, sports badge and sports muffle with center exit. Inside the 2019 Honda Civic Sport will be included red track grooves, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and slider, textured aluminum pedals, leather and cloth seats, and an eight-speaker audio system.
In the past three years, Honda has launched the new Honda Civic. First follow the sedan with coupe, Hatchback and Type R. While the Japanese automaker is a new sports equipment, the coupe and sedan, already available on the cover, offer a lightweight design.
The new trim is only in the name of the sport, which is located above the entry lx. The trim adds a piano black lower front fascia and lateral pod accents on both body styles. The sedan is provided with a rear cover spoiler and a splitter rear bumper that fits into a chrome-polygonal exhaust finisher, similar to the one found on the Civic Si. Both receive 18-inch, 10-spoke wheels in black finish.
Under the hood there is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with an infinitely variable gearbox or a six-speed manual transmission. Inside, both the sedan and the Coupe sport receive a seven-inch infotainment system with Android car and Apple CarPlay as well as a volume button.
2019 Honda Civic Hatchback Touring Exterior
Outside of sport trim, both body styles receive multiple updates of their styling. Both have a new piano black front fasciae “Wing “, and a redesigned front end that includes a new fascia, bumper, and lower grate. There is a full-width front splitter, updated halogen or LED headlights, and chrome accents on the side poles on the front. The sedan receives a chrome accent on the lower rear bumper, while both receive new raddesigns, including 18-inch rims for the touring trim.
Honda pledged to offer Honda sensing on all vehicles up to 2022. The car manufacturer continues to fulfill this mission with the 2019 Civic. All trims are provided with security technologies, including collision reduction, forward collision warning, road departure, Lane stop warning, tracking support, and adaptive cruise control.
Honda has not yet announced any pricing for the 2019 Civic. The 2018 Civic sedan starts at $19,835 (prices include travel costs) while the coupe starts at $20,245. It is expected that the prices for the model 2019 will rise slightly.

Honda will also adjust the standard features on selected 2019 civic trims. The LX trim base is provided with a standard electronic emergency brake, an automatic braking stop and a 7-inch digital combined instrument. The midrange ex trim is provided with a standard double-zone automatic air conditioning, an eight-speed driver’s seat and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a control knob. The range-topping touring trim will receive new 18-inch wheels, paddle shifters and sports pedals.

Under its hood, the 2019 civic holds the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which produces 158 hp and optional 1.5-litres that crank out 174 hp. The only change is that the 1.5-liter turbo engine will only pair with a CVT in non-Si trimming. The details are not yet officially on the SI and type R powertrains, but more information will come soon.
The current civic fell behind a IIHS Top Safety Pick rating because its headlights received a ‘ bad ‘ rating. The revised LED headlights of the 2019 civic touring will continue to illuminate the light and increase the rating potentially enough to obtain a TSP rating. Honda sensing will also be standard from 2019, making the all civic trim standard automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, track departure warning, road departure reduction, and adaptive cruise control.
